About

The Alberta Youth Employment Incentive (AYEI) is funded by the Government of Alberta and administered by CAREERS: The Next Generation. This incentive aims to address youth unemployment by providing financial support to employers who hire youth ages 15-24.

Funding is based on the number of youth(s) you hire. Eligible employers can get up to $7500 for hiring youth 15-24 years of age.

$4,000 for 1-2 youth (minimum combined 400 hours total)
$7,500 for 3-5 youth (minimum combined 750 hours total)

Upon submission of your application, CAREERS will review and determine eligibility.

CAREERS reserves the right to accept or deny applications based on eligibility, funding availability or at our discretion.
